Week 12
During week 12 of pregnancy, your little one is the size of a passion fruit. Your baby can open and close his or her 10 fingers and 10 toes. Your child no longer has webbing around his or her fingers, and each one is distinct with tiny fingernails growing on them. Your little one’s sex organs are beginning to develop, although it will be a few weeks before you can differentiate between boys and girls on an ultrasound.
At 12 weeks pregnant, you are at the end of your first trimester. Hopefully this means any morning sickness or nausea you’ve been experiencing will soon subside as the placenta takes over hormone production and your hormones begin to balance. Many moms-to-be choose to wait until they are 12 weeks pregnant to announce their pregnancy. The great news is the chance of miscarriage drops significantly after this time.

You are the God of Hope.
You have created a breathtaking world filled with awe-inspiring moments and beauty. But this world is also a broken world - a world filled with sin, hardships and trials.
As my little one grows up, I pray that he or she will find peace and true joy that can only be found in You alone.
Regardless of my child’s circumstances, may he or she radiate your joy and overflow with your hope.
It can be easy to sometimes wallow in our own poor circumstances.
Lord, I pray that I can model a life that continues to move forward and point toward You, in good times and in bad times. In times of plenty and in times of need.
Your love is like a constant hug that is always embracing, which brings a smile to my face and joy to my soul.
I love you, Father.
