Week 23
During week 23 of pregnancy, your baby is the size of a grapefruit. Your baby's ears are developing and becoming more refined. Their tiny inner ear is now fully formed and functional, allowing them to detect the sound waves that travel through the amniotic fluid that surrounds them.
As you go about your day, your baby may be able to hear the comforting sound of your voice, the melody of music, and other gentle sounds from the world around you. Incredibly, some studies suggest that your baby may even be able to recognize your voice at this stage, responding to it by becoming more active in the womb or perhaps even turning towards the sound.
While every baby is unique and may respond to sounds differently, it's always a beautiful idea to talk, sing, or play music to your growing little one. This soothing environment can help promote bonding and create a comforting space for your baby to grow and develop in the loving embrace of the womb.
Scripture: Ephesians 6:7-8
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
Prayer: Servanthood
Heavenly Father,
As I carry this precious little one in my womb, I am filled with gratitude and awe at the miracle of life that you have entrusted to me. I pray today, that my child would develop a heart of servanthood, a heart that seeks to serve You and others wholeheartedly in all things.
May my child grow up to be a shining example of Your love, kindness, and generosity, always seeking to put the needs of others before their own. Help my child to understand the true value of servanthood, and to embrace it with a joyful and humble heart.
Lord, I ask that You would bless my child with the wisdom and discernment to know how to serve others in a way that glorifies You. May my child find great joy and fulfillment in serving, and may their efforts always bring honor and glory to Your name.
I am reminded of Your Word in Ephesians 6:7-8, which says, "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do." Lord, I pray that my child would take these words to heart and that they would serve You with all of their heart, soul, and strength.
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of this precious life. I pray that You would bless my child abundantly, and that they would grow to be a blessing to others in all that they do.
