Praying Through Pregnancy - Week 33

Praying Through Pregnancy - Week 33

Welcome! If you’re pregnant or want to pray along with an expecting friend or family member, you’re in the right place. Pray along with us as we cover developmental milestones, scripture, and prayers for each week of pregnancy.

Week 33

During week 33, your child is the size of a pineapple. Your baby’s bones are continuing to harden, but your little one will still have soft spots on his or her skull. The brain and other tissue will continue to grow, and skull bones will fuse together in childhood.

Embrace this journey with love and faith, knowing that you are nurturing a precious life formed with divine purpose. Trust in the Creator's grace and cherish these moments of anticipation as you await the joy of holding your child in your arms.

Scripture: Ephesians 4:25-26

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.

Prayer: Do Not Be Easily Angered

Dear Lord,

As I carry this precious life within me, I come before You with a heart filled with gratitude and hope. Thank you for this sweet blessing growing within me.

Lord, today I come to you to pray for my child's temperament. May they possess a heart of forgiveness, and may they not be easily angered. Your Word in Ephesians 4:25-26 reminds us to let go of anger and not let it control our actions. From the very beginning, I pray that my child will be filled with a spirit of love, understanding, and compassion toward others.

Grant my child the ability to forgive as Jesus did, to show empathy to those in need, and to be slow to anger, choosing kindness and patience instead. I pray that they will be a peacemaker, bringing harmony to relationships and situations they encounter throughout their life.

Lord, bless my child with a heart that seeks reconciliation, understanding that forgiveness is not a weakness but a strength that leads to healing and restoration. May they learn to forgive themselves and others, understanding the depth of Your love and grace.

As I eagerly await the arrival of my little one, I trust in Your divine plan for their life. Surround them with Your love and protection, both inside the womb and outside in the world. May they grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with You and others, and may their life reflect Your light and love.

In Jesus' name, I pray,

Amen.
