Welcome! If you’re pregnant or wanting to pray along with an expecting friend or family member, you’re in the right place. Pray along with us as we cover developmental milestones, scripture and prayers for each week of pregnancy.
Week 4
During week 4 of pregnancy, your child is a growing embryo attached to the wall of your uterus. Cells are multiplying rapidly that will create all of your baby’s organs. The amniotic sac is forming, which will cushion your baby as he or she grows.
Your baby is the size of a mustard seed. If you were to plant a mustard seed, you would find this itty-bitty seed would have rapid growth, produce a massive tree and bring forth a great harvest.
Scripture: Matthew 17:20
“...Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Prayer: Unwavering Faith
Dear Lord,
I come to you with a heart of thanksgiving. Thank you for blessing our growing family with this new life.
I ask that you would grow my child from a small mustard seed into a man or woman of unwavering faith. May my son or daughter have such courageous and firm faith in You, Lord God, that nothing will be impossible.
As my little one grows from a child into an adult, I pray that he or she will make positive decisions throughout life that will make a lasting impact and change the world for Your glory.
Lord, as I embark on this pregnancy journey, I ask that you would keep baby and I healthy and that I would stay focused on things that truly matter in Your eyes.
Amen.
